With ReCap Pro, you can quickly and effortlessly create detailed digital designs from existing objects, such as buildings and roads. With just three simple steps, you can capture, digitise, and manipulate data, opening up a world of possibilities for you.

The process starts at the object's location, where you collect detailed scans or photos using advanced 3D scanners or still cameras. This is the first crucial step to accurately and completely map the object.

ReCap Pro then imports the collected scans and photos, after which the software converts them into a detailed digital model. In just a few minutes, you can have an accurate and scalable 3D point cloud of the object. Thanks to advanced tools, such as the 'Surface Snap' feature, you can easily determine exact dimensions and distances within the digital model. In addition, ReCap Pro offers the possibility to create animations so that you can present them to clients and other stakeholders, giving them a realistic idea of the final result.

The digital design you create with ReCap Pro can then be used for a variety of purposes. • Efficiency Improved with Automatic Attribute Extraction: For ReCap Pro 2025, we've improved the Scan2Design workflows by adding additional feature extraction capabilities. In the past, extracting 3D features such as ADA ramps and driveway geometry from large point clouds was a time-consuming manual exercise.
• Automatic Identification and Extraction: Now, these linear features can be extracted automatically using a template to automatically identify and extract these features with about 95% accuracy.
• Seamless integration of coloured scan data: You can then import these extracted geometries into other tools, such as Civil 3D, InfraWorks, and Revit. Another new feature in ReCap Pro is the ability to import coloured scan data from Faro Focus premium scans.
